Publication Consent

By uploading your ePoster and audio file, you agree to having it published in the official Congress publications and on the WMS 2021 website and virtual platform for the duration of 3 months following the WMS 2021 Virtual Congress.

How can I secure my ePoster presentation when it is online?

The copying and recording of content presented is prohibited (see Code of Conduct). Presenters are encouraged to indicate in their presentations content presented shall not be shared or copied.

To aid in this, a digital graphic image may be incorporated in the poster. Click here to download.

Presenters may also secure a Digital Object Identifier (DoI) for their presentation by uploading it to an open data sharing repository for posters and slides.

Interaction with ePoster Presenters

ePoster presenters have the option to include a URL link to their own online personal e-meeting rooms (via Zoom, GoToMeeting, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, etc.) or institutional e-meeting rooms together with their availability, where they can then meet other delegates for interaction and discussion. You can create free zoom meeting rooms here: https://zoom.us/. The presenter takes responsibility for these third-party links and the Organisers are unable to monitor them.

Messaging ePoster Presenters

Within the platform, there is a messaging service to facilitate scientific exchange.  Messages can be sent by participants directly to the presenter’s email (without seeing the presenters email address) by clicking the envelope icon.

Poster Highlights

The Prize Committee will review the E-Poster presentations prior to the virtual congress and the Organisers will notify the successful presenters by 24th August 2021. Those presenters will then have a short time to book a recording session with the technical team before the 31st August 2021. The Poster Highlights session is on Friday, 24th September 2021. There will be 6 x 5 minute consecutive pre-recorded presentations followed by 15 minutes live Q&A. The presenter should prepare 3-5 PowerPoint slides (including introduction, main findings, main messages, acknowledgement) to show during the pre-recording and must present data as indicated on the poster.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Clare Beach, WMS Secretariat [email protected]
