Hospitals in Copenhagen:
Rigshopitalet (+45 3545 3545)
Frederiksberg Sygehus (+45 38 16 38 16)

Banks
In Copenhagen major credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, stores, cafes and restaurants. It is a good idea always to ask beforehand though. Some places might charge a fee when accepting foreign credit cards as payment. Be sure to bring your PIN code and a picture ID when using a credit card in Denmark.
Banks are open from 09:30 to 16:00 on weekdays with late hours until 18:00 on Thursdays (closed Saturdays and Sundays). There are numerous cash machines throughout the city and the plentiful bureaux de change are open during weekends, for example Forex at Nørreport Station and Copenhagen Central Station.

Voltage
Denmark, like most other European countries, has 220-volt AC, 50Hz current and uses two-pin continental plugs.
If you visit from the UK and Ireland, you will need an adaptor for electric appliances, whereas North Americans need a transformer in order to use their 110/125V appliances.

Insurance
Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended to clear all travel and medical insurance issues prior to coming to Copenhagen. Neither the Congress Secretariat nor the Organising Committee will take any responsibility for any participant of the Congress failing to insure.

Visa
Travellers from other EU countries can enter Denmark without a visa. While visas are granted upon arrival to nationals of certain Western nations, most visitors from outside the European Union must arrange a tourist visa in advance. These can be obtained from Danish consulates and embassies throughout the world. Please make sure that you ask for a visa permit in time. If you need an invitation letter, please contact the Congress Secretariat.

For general presentations that would be the beginning of the scientific programme for the congress (local time).

Photographer
There will be an official photographer throughout the congress. Photos will be available via the members section of the WMS website after the congress. If you do not wish to be included in any photos please make the organisers and photographer aware via the registration desk.
